In our recent interview with Marleze from My home loans, we talked about the importance of branding and what rebranding has in store for you if you are looking to rebrand. Below is what Marleze has to say.
WHY DID YOU DECICE TO REBRAND?
In her interview, Marleze told us that her logo was very much associated with her competitor’s logo, and that the majority reason behind the change was because she wanted something new and something different. Although she has spent a lot of time and money in it, she feels that her brand is now very strong for the next few years.
WHY DO YOU THINK BRANDING IS IMPORTANT IN A BUSINESS?
My home loans says that branding is very important because it gives you visibility wherever you use it. Your branding is a connection between you and your client and should be of such a nature that when people see something about your brand they must know immediately who and what you are without reading too much of your info.
HAS THERE BEEN A GOOD CHANGE IN THE MARKET AFTER THE REBRAND?
Although they have only recently started to rebrand, it is still too early to say that there has been a growth in the market for them. They did, however, open another branch in Centurion that Marleze is very positive about.
WHEN DID YOU DECIDE IT’S TIME TO REBRAND?
It has been a decision for quite some time, but with good research and input from the people, Marleze decided it was now or never. The big reason was because My Home Loans brand no longer wanted to be the same or associated with their competition.
Why the colour green? It associates life, makes you feel good and suggests new beginnings for the people who are first time home buyers.
My Home Loans vision for 2020 is that Marleze, Vicky and Danie seek a bigger share in the market and to be more visible on social media and the public.
